Our history

There has been a clay ground at this site since 1975, from the early days of the oil industry in Aberdeen. Originally called “The Golden Rock” gun club, with two hand operated traps and an offshore supplied steel container for a clubhouse, Seal’s Cove Shooting Ground has grown into a fully automated fifty plus trap layout.

The Norwegian log cabin with wood burning stove keeps everyone warm, whatever the weather.

The site has a fully mature woodland setting which provides excellent shelter from the wild north sea and we can shoot pretty much fifty two weeks of the year.

In 2015 we finished the purpose-built on-site shop which is open five days a week.
